BARNEY ROSSET: I was in Europe. And I called Grove from Denmark, and I got my secretary and I said, "Hi, how's everything?" And she says, "Fine." "Everything going ok?" I ask. "Well there is something special today, I'm on the 6th floor." Our office was on the 7th floor. "Well why?" said I. "Well," she says, "some other people are in your office." "WHAT?" (laughter) In my office I had all my personal letters and records. And they had barricaded themselves into my office. I said, "Get 'em out!" And she said, "No, they won't come out." I said, "Go in and throw them out." "No, nobody wants to do that."
Hey! Never show me a picture of open skull brain surgery I CAN’T TAKE IT! I forgot what it’s supposed to do but like gazing for too long into your own eyes in the mirror – YOU’LL SEE THE DEVIL. . .IN YOU!!! Then what can you do about it? Go crazy! That’s what, & die in some nuthouse with no teeth like crazy Antonin Artaud the father of “punk” (in the 70s art-scene- spawns-music-New York City-L.A. -extension sense). . .I mean I can feel my brain all the time, that’s why I used to get high all the time or fuck fuck fuck and dance dance dance and TRY TO CHANGE THE WORLD! TRY! TRY! TRY!!! all that. On the other hand, I know just what the crazy fucker meant, don’t you? Like taking psychedelics was the easy way out, or even heavy meditation: but we don’t want to bask in the light of our third brain or crawl through the crevices of our mammal imagination brain no more than we want to stand up and salute our reptilian cortex brain or whatever it’s called, WE WANT TO FEEL OUR FUCKING BRAIN BOSS! Just like we feel our heart and cunt and balls and tits and assholes and pricks and wet lips of our soul’s exuberance at the chance to BE! BE! BE! All we meant to. . .were sent to. . . more than were bent to. . .Pia Zadora is more than somebody’s creation, her own. Okay, let’s go use the phone, which is like feeling our ears or those of our peers, oh no, you know I know we know it’s so much more than the secret meaning inside all things. . .our secret home
